Naloxone Hydrochloride Injection is a medication employed to reverse the opioid depression, including respiratory depression, caused by various opioids. It provides complete or partial reversal of opioid effects induced by natural and synthetic opioids, as well as certain mixed agonist-antagonist analgesics. It also serves as a diagnostic for suspected or known acute opioid overdosage. The solution is presented in a multiple-dose glass flip-top vial, with each carton containing one vial. Additionally, methylparaben and propylparaben are used as preservatives in concentrations of 1.8 mg/mL and 0.2 mg/mL, respectively. To ensure product efficacy, store the vial at 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F) and keep it in the original carton until use.
